I am individual and studying AWS to get a good job.
I opened up a free aws account and my intention was to learn Redshift .
As AWS offer Redshift free for certain time, I was practicing to create a Redshift Cluster. I don't know how the Redshift cluster was created in different region "Ohio" from my default region "N Virgnia".
So everytime I login and click on Redshift, it was showing no cluster running then my credit card charged for $16,000 by AWS
for a cluster running in Ohio region which I never aware of as login used to take to default region 'N Virgnia'
I opened up case ID - 5407226661, for amost 5 weeks cusomer representative used to tell me that they will take care of reversal and now suddenly they are saying they can't refund me.
AWS offers Redshift for $999/year to big corporations and charged me $16000 which I never used or never aware of.
For 6 weeks, the Customer Service Rep kept on telling, don't worry, we will take care, just give us sometime, you are right. and suddenly she replied it wasn't approve and my charges stays.
